James knows from his many contacts that there is a need help in how to lead a team. Many of the posts about leaders are not from his own experience but from others, but the many approaches to leading are tried and tested by James and friends in the workplace.
James has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing, from engineering to operations
leadership roles with responsibilities for up to 150 people, in both Australia and Canada. He currently works as a Performance Coach to help organizations improve there performance. Currently engaged in his first RLG project, where James has been working on an Operating Rhythm project with a client who is a pipeline construction organization.
He has a proven ability to solve problems and implement the operating processes to
support ongoing improvements. He also has experience in the successful execution of
significant capital projects that resulted in record production rates. He also implemented
daily crew operational meetings at three operating locations resulting in improved
operator involvement and operational performance.
Most recently James was the Operations Manager for a Papermill in Canada
responsible for the operation of three paper machines producing 480,000 tonnes per
annum of specialty paper. During his time at Catalyst he developed key new grades to
take advantage of new market opportunities and increased overall mill production by 5%.
